Stephen is a Fenestration Technical Engineer / Manager with over 46 years experience. His role has included all aspects of the manufacture and installation of PVC windows and door sets as follows:
- To teach the correct manufacturing techniques and process of PVC window and door sets.
- To take part in the preparation and testing of the above to industry standards including BSI Pass 24.
- To carry out instruction on the correct installation of windows and door sets to BS 8213-4:2016 Windows and doors.
- Code of practice for the survey and installation of windows and external door sets Publication Year 2016. This is the industry standard for correct installation procedure.
- Running approved installer schemes to liaise with the general public, inspect and report on faults, problems, issues and remedies regarding the manufacture and installation of PVC window and door sets.
- To prepare reports and issue advice and direction on the rectification of any faults.
- To engage with industry experts on the development and implementation of building regulations such as Part L, part M and part O of building regulations.
Between 1979 and 1992, Stephen was Installation and Contracts Manager within the Fenestration industry, controlling up to 40 installation teams nationwide and also periods of production manager and technical director during this time. In 1992 he became Fenestration Technical Engineer / Manager.
Stephen has over 46 years experience within the Fenestration industry, covering all aspects of manufacturing and installation practice.
He also posseses a good working knowledge of the construction practice and principles of domestic and commercial buildings, including related problems and remedies.
